Well if it is not HDR that makes it all the better!!
HDR and Exposure Fusion are techniques used to extend the dynamic range of Normal photographs....
Basically you take a picture of you subject in the normal way with the correct exposure, then you take more with the picture over exposed, and some with it under exposed!!
They can then be fused together in Photoshop,Gimp,Enfuse...
Exposure fusion can also be used to eliminate noise if you take several shots but with the same exposure and fuse them, the resultant picture will have less noise, as exposure fusion favors well exposed pixels over badly exposed ones, therefore because the noise from each picture will be in different places they will cancel each other out
